Then, Clarkson split from Brandon in 2020 after seven years of marriage, but it took about two years to reach an agreement in this case. Reba McEntire married Narvel Blackstock after their first divorces
After Narvel Blackstock joined McEntire’s band 1980 and eventually became her manager, the two fell in love and married in 1989. McEntire shared in her autobiography, Reba: My story, This was after they both ended their first marriages and were alone for some time.
They had a son, Shelby, in 1990, and Blackstock had three children from that previous marriage – one of whom was Brandon. Fast forward to 2006 and Narvel was it Management of Clarkson’s career. That’s when she first met Brandon. But he was married to his first wife, much like his father was when he first met McEntire.
After the younger Blackstock’s first marriage was over, they reunited at the 2012 Super Bowl, where Clarkson performed the national anthem (per Good housekeeping.) She later said she hoped to impress him with her singing, and apparently she did. They also got engaged in 2012 and married in 2013.
Brandon eventually took over as Clarkson’s manager, as his father had done at McEntire.
Narvel Blackstock reportedly received $47.5 million divorce from Reba McEntire
Narvel Blackstock became unhappy and wanted to end his marriage, McEntire revealed afterwards the couple’s divorce in 2015. She said she didn’t like the breakup but understood that if he wasn’t happy it was best to move on.
Yahoo Finance reported that Blackstock reportedly received a staggering $47.5 million in the settlement, much more than his son eventually received.
The former couple released a joint statement to emphasize that the union was shut down amicably. “Even though this is the end of their marriage, they continue to support each other,” they said. “They have worked together for 35 years and will continue to do so.”
But McEntire parted ways professionally with Narvel Blackstock soon after. She then took charge of her career.

Clarkson and Brandon Blackstock split in 2020 and she filed for divorce after nearly seven years. They had two children together in their marriage and he had two by his first. From the outside, their separation seemed a little less peaceful than McEntire and the older Blackstock.
Clarkson cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for filing, and the divorce took two years to finalize. She continued to narrate to her audience The Kelly Clarkson Show She’s been through a lot of changes in her personal life in 2020 and “definitely didn’t see anything coming.”
“But what I’m dealing with is tough because it affects more than just my heart,” she explained, referring to her four children. Despite their young children, Brandon didn’t appear to be making nearly as much money as his father.
The former couple eventually agreed that Clarkson would pay the younger Blackstock $1.3 million in severance pay, as well as more than $115,000 a month in spousal support and $45,000 in child support, as reported by ET. In particular, spousal maintenance ends in January 2024.

McEntire has been dating the actor since 2020 Rex Linn and said he was the special partner she had hoped for all her life. They had known each other since 1991 and eventually got back together just before the country went into a pandemic lockdown. The singer said they have since become inseparable and have had talks about marriage.
Clarkson, on the other hand, said she doesn’t want to remarry after her divorce from Blackstock, although she’s open to the possibility of dating.
