Houston hip-hop legend Bun B brings burgers from his hometown to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival

First introduced at the 2021 CultureMap Tastemaker Awards, Trill Burgers serves a smash burger that’s prepared on a griddle for crispy crusts and melty cheese. Coachella attendees can order the traditional OG with trill sauce, the grilled onion burger, and a vegan burger with Beyond meat and vegan cheese.
“Trill Burgers is excited for the opportunity to showcase our food at Coachella this year,” Bun B said in a statement. “We are anticipating a large influx of people returning to the festivals, as we saw at the rodeo. And we eagerly await the opportunity to showcase the world’s best burgers at one of the world’s biggest music festivals. So go ahead and join us with Trill burgers.”
Building on the success of its sell-out pop-ups, Trill Burgers had a successful showing at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. During the three weeks of the event, nearly 12,000 burgers were served at the Trill Burger booth in Rodeo Plaza, according to a press release.
Now Bun and his partners — a group that includes Sticky Chicken owners Patsy and Benson Vivares, California restaurateur Andy Nguyen and publicist Nick Scurfield — are looking for a permanent home. The group expects to open a Trill Burgers brick-and-mortar location later this year.
As for Coachella, Bun may not be on the bill, but he will be there. If any of the cast members need a guest verse or two, they can stop by Trill Burgers.
