Houston crime: Father allegedly strangled son then used edged weapon to commit suicide in apartment complex, police say

Commander K. Deese of the Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division said police received a call about 1:30 p.m. Sunday about two people found dead in an apartment block in the 12600 block of the Houston Police Department. Memorial Drive near West Sam Houston Parkway.
Deese said: “A resident who lived here came back home and found that father and son had passed away.
Deese said the father, believed to be in his 50s, is believed to have strangled his son and then killed himself with a edged weapon.
“It’s still very early in the investigation,” Deese said. “There’s still work to be done. We’re working on the scene, but that’s what we have at the moment.”
The son is believed to be underage.
Police said there does not appear to be a motive identified at this time.
