Houston crime: 2 men shot and 1 attacked in violent home invasion at Houston’s east end

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) – Two people were shot and one assaulted during a violent home invasion of Houston’s east end overnight.

According to Houston police, three people were inside a home in the 7100 block of Q Avenue shortly before 3:30 a.m. Friday when several suspects entered and opened fire.

Police said two men were shot, one in the head and one in the chest. They were taken to hospital in critical condition and both underwent surgery.

The third man was hit in the head and suffered non-life-threatening injuries, family members said.

ABC13 crews saw officers marking evidence of at least 10 shell casings at the scene.

The family told ABC13 they were able to look inside the house, where they saw a gruesome sight.

Now, the search for the gunmen is underway. Investigators have no description of the suspects.
