Houston Astros: Matratze Mack’s ticket giveaway for the team’s home opener has sold out

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — If you were hoping to get a trip to the Houston Astros home game thanks to Mattress Mack, you need to find another way to get to the ballgame.

Earlier this week, the celebrity furniture seller announced in a Facebook post that he’s giving away 1,250 tickets to the Astros’ season-opener game against the Los Angeles Angels every day Tuesday through Friday.

To get the tickets, fans had to go to Gallery Furniture’s main store at 6006 North Freeway and the giveaway was limited to four tickets per family.

But by Thursday, all the fans who didn’t get tickets and wanted some, hit it.

“Gallery Furniture Astros opening day free tickets are now gone. Thank you to everyone who came out to snag their free Astros tickets,” Mattress Mack, whose real name is Jim McIngvale, said in an Instagram post.

The home opener is scheduled for Monday April 18th with the first pitch at 7:10pm
