Horror moment Hit-and-run driver mows down woman, 61, and ‘makes shocking comment before driving away’

SANDRA Martin was mowed down by a hit-and-run driver last month while out for a walk in downtown Los Angeles. Now the police are looking for the perpetrator.
Shocking video shows the 61-year-old woman being thrown to the ground after being hit by a four-door passenger car.
Martin said the driver got out of the car after she was hit to pull her out from under the vehicle. Then he got back in the car.
“Before getting back into his vehicle, the driver was asked by Martin if he was leaving and his response was, ‘I’m sure,'” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement.
“The driver fled the scene without providing assistance and without identifying himself.”
According to police, the driver is said to be 25 to 30 years old, of slight build and around 170 to 190 pounds.
There is no description of the suspect’s car other than the fact that it is a four-door vehicle.
According to the police, Martin suffered serious injuries that required surgery.
As a result of the accident, Martin lost her pet Chihuahua Terrier named Little Man. She asks the public to keep an eye out for the pooch.
Martin had been carrying the dog at the time of the accident and Little Man had run away when Martin was hit.
“We would like to remind everyone if they are involved in a traffic accident to stop and check on the other parties to make sure they are okay, call 9-1-1 if they need medical assistance and share information. ‘ the LAPD wrote.
“Don’t turn a traffic accident into a crime.”
Anyone with information regarding the getaway vehicle and the driver or the whereabouts of Little Man the dog is urged to contact the LAPD.
