The suffering of living without a place to call home is beyond the comprehension of the average person on a daily basis. One thing that keeps Donald Dickerson going is his faithful companion.
Dickerson from Greensboro lived on the street for months. Like many homeless people, he longs for a comfy bed and shelter to keep him warm and comfortable.
A man of integrity, however, Dickerson wouldn’t allow anything to get in the way of his close relationship with his best friend – even if it meant remaining homeless and inaccessible. access the medical care you desperately need.

It turns out this homeless man’s best friend is a furry dog he names Duude. Duude was there through all the trials and tribulations during Dickerson’s absence. Like him speak:
“If it isn’t [Duude], I gave up. “
Since becoming homeless, the bond between the duo has grown even stronger, with Dickerson vowing never to give up on his furry companion.

This dog lover refused to hunt because he would have to take Duude into his care. Furthermore, he was unable to perform the knee replacement surgery he desperately needed; like Dickerson recall:
“Surname [the doctors] said we have to postpone until you find a place to live because someone has to come out to take care of you”.
He talks about the pain and says he has to walk up a hill every day and get over it. Still, this Homeless the man refuses to participate in anything that can help him but then, either hurt or cause Duude to leave him.

Trying to help him, Miller said she tried to contact many organizations to operate on him.

Although she has encountered many obstacles, the Triad Volunteer Center is also working to find housing for Dickerson. In addition, he has a GoFundMe page, calling for further support.
Talking about his relationship with his best friend, Dickerson shared that he feels yes something special about their relationship. He expressed:
“Every day he looks at me – I know I’m loved. I named him Duude because that’s my guy. ”
Most of us find it difficult to make such wonderful connections with fellow human beings, no less animals. While this homeless man may not have a home, he has what so many of us lack – unconditional love.
