Holly Willoughby leads the way when ‘legend’ This Morning leaves the team

THIS morning said goodbye to one of the oldest members of staff today as Holly Willoughby led a tribute to Tim Carr.

The floor manager was welcomed into the studio and given a first look at chef Phil Vickery’s cooking during an emotional finale of the show.

Earlier this year he back from Good Morning Britainsent off by Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway.

But today saw his last day of work This morning after an incredible three decades at ITV.

He is moving in talkTVThe much-anticipated news, sports and entertainment channel from the owner of The Sun News UK.

Piers Morgan, one of the broadcaster’s new stars, greeted him in a tweet last month calling him “the best floor manager in the business”.

He replied, “Thanks Piers. It will be a blast! 👏👏👏”

Arriving at the show’s Central Television headquarters in West London today Tim called it a “strange and emotional day”.

He tweeted: “So here I am stepping into TVC for the last time. After 30 years at @ITV and 26 years at daytime itv, I finally flew home.

“Working on @thismorning for the last time. Today is going to be a weird and emotional day. It can be messy!! Thanks everyone for the good time. 👍👍.”

TalkTV started airing in the spring, with Piers, 56, returning to TV to present a new global daily TV show.

Speaking about the launch last month, he said: “It’s going to air every day in the UK, every day in the US, every day in Australia, so I’m going to be a three continent stimulator.

“It’s something I’ve been craving to be for a while. It’s going to be a big debate and interviews.

“If you missed me on morning TV, I’m sorry but I’ll be back very soon. If you don’t miss me, I don’t apologize.”
