Hershey warns of possible Halloween candy shortages

Hershey Chocolate says it won’t be able to make enough candy to fully meet the Halloween deadline.

The problem is that people have started buying more candy during the pandemic and it hasn’t slowed down.

In addition, ongoing supply chain problems were exacerbated by the war in Ukraine.

Hershey’s CEO says they can either stock stores with regular candy or ramp up holiday production.

Normal sweets won.

For the next year, Hershey is adding more manufacturing lines in hopes of a comeback by next Halloween.
