He is the GOP nominee to win the PA Senate race

dr Mehmet Oz, the TV star who competed in the Pennsylvania Republican Senate primary, predicted that he could be the one who took Lt. gov. John Fetterman, the likely Democratic nominee.

“I’m the best candidate to beat John Fetterman, who is basically a great Bernie Sanders. He’s been called… the most liberal civil servant in America,” Oz told host John Catsimatidis about the 6-foot-8-inch Fetterman on his WABC 770 AM radio show in an interview that aired Sunday.

Oz, who enjoys the support of former President Donald Trump, has a slight lead over hedge fund David McCormick and political commentator Kathy Barnette in the polls ahead of Tuesday’s primary race.

In the interview, Oz, 61, also ditched the Green New Deal for contributing to skyrocketing gas prices – which hit a new record high of $4,470 on Sunday, according to the AAA.

“We’ve pushed up energy prices by actively preventing the ability of American producers, like natural gas drillers here in Pennsylvania, to extract energy from the ground. Because of this, energy prices are rising,” he said.

Oz said the policy is hurting local communities — including those in Pennsylvania, which has vast amounts of natural gas.

“We are the second largest energy state after Texas. We have enough natural gas to power the entire country for hundreds of years. But we can’t get it. We are not allowed to ship it. We must not put it in a pipeline,” he said.

“The Green New Deal is a lie!” he said.

“But if you use natural gas, if you ship natural gas to our allies overseas and replace what they’re burning now, it would be the equivalent of electrifying all vehicles, putting a solar panel on every American home, and doubling wind energy production.” ‘ said Ozzy.

“That would be a great thing for everyone if we just let America become energy independent,” he added.

Fetterman, who is rejecting suits in favor of hoodies and shorts, has trailed Rep. Conor Lamb by up to 30 percentage points in the Democratic primary.

They are vying to replace outgoing Republican Senator Pat Toomey in a contest for control of the 50-50 divided Senate.
