Has the NFL Hinted at Taylor Swift as a Super Bowl 2023 Halftime Show?

Could she be “ready for this”?

Taylor Swift fans — aka the Swifties — believe the NFL was just alluding to the possibility that the 32-year-old singer-songwriter could play in the Super Bowl LVII halftime show next year.

The league didn’t name any acts to announce Apple Music will now sponsor the halftime show in a press release issued Friday, but it stopped posting at midnight.

The “Lover” singer was releasing her two 2020 pandemic albums, Folklore and Evermore, around the time, and has included the word “midnight” in her lyrics for years.

To round off the theory, their ninth album “Midnights” will be released on October 21st.

Swift is famous for her Easter eggs — subtle or complex clues to upcoming projects that fans can piece together to form their own theories about what might be next from the superstar.

Another interesting observation is that last year Pepsi withdrew from its longtime sponsorship of the Halftime Show, an endeavor Apple Music will now take on. Swift has been tied into a sponsorship with Coca-Cola since 2013, so Pepsi’s departure could mean it’s now time for Swift to book the gig, fans suggested.

Additionally, the “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” singer wrote an open letter to Apple Music in June 2015, telling Apple CEO Tim Cook that she was disappointed that the then-new streaming service wasn’t adding artists would compensate for this streams collected by users during their three-month trial.

Her letter had impact, as Apple was quick to announce that it would indeed pay artists for their music during the free period, albeit at a reduced price similar to other services.

A year later, Swift showed there was no “bad blood” between her and the tech giant when she appeared in multiple Apple Music commercials.

The Post has reached out to representatives from Swift and the NFL.

Super Bowl LVII is scheduled for February 12, 2023 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
