GTA 5 Next Gen Players are claiming a feature from Apex Legends & Warzone

Grand Theft Auto 5 players have criticized Rockstar Games’ “expanded and improved” next-gen update coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Now they are demanding a big feature seen in Warzone and Apex Legends to save it.

The next-gen update implemented a number of changes, from new vehicles to a new feature that allows players to clone cars driven by other people in the same lobby.

Although the updated version, released on March 15, is still early days, many fans claim the developers haven’t gone far enough to deliver on the promise of an “enhanced and enhanced” experience.

Just two days later, the community came together to support a Twitter user and demanded that a feature be added that would be a big game changer for the series’ online play.

GTA Online next-gen players demand cross-platform features

Many of the video game industry’s biggest franchises have taken the step to allow Xbox, PC, and PlayStation gamers to play together. That ranges from Apex Legends and Call of Duty Warzone to Fortnite and Minecraft.

Although Rockstar still hasn’t joined – players think it could be the perfect match at the moment.

On March 17, Twitter user Amanifwm asked, “How the heck isn’t GTA 5 cross-platform yet?”

At the time of writing, the post has garnered over 47,000 likes for the original and a further 3,000 for the reply – showing the strong support for such a change.

Some users joined the age-old debate about whether PlayStation or Xbox players are better, while others suggested that adding PC to cross-platform could cause trouble with hackers. However, others wanted the feature as long as it didn’t interfere with Grand Theft Auto 6’s plans.

One user replied: “I’ve been tweeting them for months trying to get cross play. I know it would make the game livelier and more playable.”

GTA Online cross-platform would allow some squads – currently separated by Xbox and PlayStation – to reunite.

One also joked, “You just gave Rockstar a reason to delay GTA 6.”

The developers have not publicly commented on the possibility of cross-platform play in the next-gen update.

With the sixth installment in the series in the early stages of development, it remains to be seen if Rockstar would take such a bold step in the meantime. GTA 5 Next Gen Players are claiming a feature from Apex Legends & Warzone
