Groupe Morneau announces important appointments

Groupe Morneau on Wednesday announced the appointment of David Morneau as vice president of operations and Catherine Morneau as executive vice president and general manager.

Appointments are part of the company’s generational transition. David and Catherine, both fourth generation, have been part of the company for over 15 years.

David led the acquisitions of Beacon Transit Line (2019) and General Cartage (2021), which the team made in Ontario.

He is also director of the Association du camionnage du Quebec (ACQ) board of directors and president of the trucking training organization ACQ since 2015.

As vice president of operations, he will ensure the strategic placement of the company’s transportation, warehousing and logistics divisions and ensure service quality standards are maintained.

Catherine has been a driver of positive change, thanks to the strategic choices she has made with the operations and service teams. She will be responsible for bringing teams together to achieve strategic directions and execute large-scale projects.

She will promote Morneau culture by continuing to move towards corporate responsibility initiated by president André Morneau. She will also oversee administration, corporate affairs, and the shared services team.

André Morneau remains the group’s chairman. He will act as a strategic advisor and mentor to them and their teams. “I am handing them over with confidence and wish them all the best in the years to come,” Morneau said.
