After a gas explosion occurred at the Callum Highway party, Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) panicked when she saw Argee Bhajee’s cord cut in an upcoming episode of the BBC One drama.

When Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) catches up with him, he tells her it’s been a big day at the hospital: he can finally hug Jordan.

Later, however, Gray makes his way to Argee Bhajee and plays an insurance broker who needs to “assess” the damage that occurred in the explosion.

Gray was in great pain when the builder told him that everything had to be stripped.

This means that Tina Carter’s (Luisa Bradshaw-White) body can be detected.

Gray is terrified when his crimes seem to be about to be exposed.

He decided to leave Albert Square in a hurry, pack his bags and get his family’s passports.

And the pressure only increased when DCI Arthurs approached him with questions.

As he was planning his escape, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) hatched his own plan.

After spotting a farting Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams), Whitney is shocked and makes a big decision.

However, she failed to discover that Gray was responsible for Tina’s disappearance.

Whitney only had evidence that he abused Chantelle, leading her to believe that he was also responsible for the death.

Chantelle was murdered by Gray in September 2020, after she was pushed by her husband, causing her to fall on a knife.

Gray assumed her death was an accident, since then she simply slipped on one of their children’s toys.

But Whitney found evidence that Chantelle was being abused and was convinced of Gray’s guilt, along with Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol).

With confidence, Whitney bit the bullet and told the police that Gray murdered Chantelle.

Tina was then strangled to death by Gray in December 2020, when she also found out the truth.
