Grass fire near downtown detour a reminder of wind hazard

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Though quickly extinguished, the grass fire south of the downtown bypass was a reminder of the wind risk in the area on Wednesday.
Near the westbound lanes of I-670, a fire caused delays as fire crews arrived to put out the fire before it could cause major damage.
