Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) condemned the Democrats’ handling of the coronavirus.

While announcing the state’s Liberal First Budget on Thursday, DeSantis said if everything goes to Democrats, the entire state of Florida will close. This will cause economic devastation, he added.

DeSantis said time and time again his administration has protected Floridians from losing their jobs, also pointing to his recent effort to block Joe Biden’s OSHA vaccine mandate. He said that thanks to efforts from Republican states, it is unlikely that Biden’s executive order will go into effect.

“OSHA is done, okay? You can take it to the bank,” said the Republican. “Sixth Circuit will never uphold what OSHA did. They’re completely diving into those six things. “

He pointed out that the lawsuit to repeal OSHA’s mandate is ongoing and that the authorization will fail even if the case goes to the Supreme Court. The governor added that this mandate is effectively suspended while some states, including Florida, simply refuse to enforce it in the first place.

DeSantis reiterated that such a mandate would take a toll on the US economy.

“The federal government, they pushed back the deadline because they faced the possibility of losing a lot of staff, and that’s not a good thing if your tracking happened,” DeSantis said. “And you look at what’s happening in the states that have imposed their own duties on the aforementioned nurses, now they have to call in the National Guard just to be able to staff the hospitals.”

The Florida governor went on to explain that health officials are now trying to move the columns and change the definition of “fully vaccinated” to include booster shots. He added that Florida’s state budget has sufficient resources to offset any harm caused by extreme federal behavior.
