Almost two years after debut, the infamous video of Hollywood’s A-listers “Imagine” by John Lennon is making headlines again, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Video Ringtones – “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot – admit in a recent InStyle issue that the star-studded rendition had “pure intentions” but was ultimately “poor quality”.
Video, already shared on Instagram during the height of the ongoing pandemic in March 2020, with the caption: “We’re in this together, we’ll make it through together. Imagine together. Sing with us. All love to you, from me and my dear friends.”
“You know, this virus has affected the entire world. Everyone. It doesn’t matter who you are, where you come from – we’re all together,” Gadot said before singing the songs. opening line of the 1971 hit. The mic was later passed to Kristen Wiig, Jamie Dornan, Natalie Portman, Amy Adams, Zoë Kravitz and more.
The video, meant to be uplifting, immediately sparked a backlash after viewers saw it as a performance and called on celebrities to use their fortunes for pandemic relief and relief. .

In October 2021, Gadot jokingly sang “Imagine” after taking the stage to accept her award at Elle’s 2021 Women in Hollywood event. “It’s also possible,” the actress explained to InStyle. “They have a mic there.”
