FWC officer stops faulty driver on Midpoint Bridge

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – A woman has been arrested for DUI after driving erratically and crashing into the wall of the Midpoint Bridge on Wednesday.

Terri Tracy admitted to taking prescription drugs, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. An FWC officer saw Tracy hit the wall of the Midpoint Bridge and had difficulty staying in lane.

Officers conducted a traffic stop near Colonial Avenue and Summerlin Road and noticed that Tracy was showing signs of weakness. FWC officials said Tracy denied drinking alcohol but admitted taking prescription drugs.

According to the FWC, she was placed under house arrest after performing sober duties for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Officers also found prescription drugs and fentanyl in Tracy’s car.

Tracy was also arrested for possession of fentanyl, an over-the-counter drug, and injecting drug paraphernalia.
