Capcom has disclosed everything Street Fighter 6 Character List in an almost out of nowhere tweet showing the opening cinematic for the game’s World Tour mode. The full character roster at launch will feature 18 characters, with a mix of old and new Street Fighter fighters. The list confirms most of the list that was reportedly leaked in early June, as reported by our sister site PlayStation Lifestyle, but it also crosses out some of the characters on this list.

As announced in a tweet on the official Street Fighter account, the starting list will include (in alphabetical order):
- Chun Li
- Dee Jay
Compared to the leaked list, Rashid, Juri, Ed, AKI, Mimi, and Akuma are nowhere to be seen, while Jun and Manon are added. However, we may see these characters as DLC in later seasons. We’ve seen some gameplay footage of about half of the above roster, so we can expect Capcom to release videos showing the other characters like Marisa, Dee Jay, and Manon fighting in the future. The trailer for the World Tour movie showcases the game’s signature cool graffiti street style, which Capcom has nailed so far.
Yesterday Capcom revealed what players can expect in World Tour mode, allowing you to create your own fighter avatar while learning moves from characters like Luke and Chun-Li. You can walk the streets of Metro City and travel with super moves if you want, try on new clothes in different stores and fight other characters freely. It will be interesting to see how far you will be able to mix and match the moves you learn from different masters. It also looks like you can use your character in a side-scrolling beat ’em up mode that feels similar to Tekken Force or Final Fight.
Also, Call of Duty’s DMZ mode has been given a release date and will be free to play, and Street Fighter 6’s closed beta has been announced as cross-play.
