NEWYORK – A post-season full share on World Series champions Atlanta Braves grossed $397,391 from a record player total of $90.47 million.
The Braves have split $32.57 million into 66 full shares, 14.25 partial shares and 38 cash prizes, the commissioner’s office said Friday. The winners’ share was the third highest after $438,902 for Houston in 2017 and $416,838 for Boston in 2018.
The full share for the AL Astros champion is up to $258,373. Houston split $21.71 million into 67 full shares, 16.59 partial shares, and three cash prizes.
Total player earnings broke the previous $88 million mark in 2018.
All stock this year is worth $137,644 to Boston, $112,701 to the Dodgers, $43,729 to the Chicago White Sox, $38,336 to San Francisco, $33,973 to Tampa Bay, $27,561 to Milwaukee, $17,048 la for St. Louis and $15,928 for the New York Yankees.
The total includes 50% of the gate revenue from the two wild card matches and 60% each from the first three games of each Series Division and the first four games of each of the League Championship Series and World Series.
Major League Baseball has never announced post-season shares in 2020 after a season where most games were played without fans because of the pandemic and the limited number of games allowed for NL games. Championship Series and World Series in Arlington, Texas.
