Fabio Carvalho says he is unsure of his case Fulham future after being linked with a summer move away from the club.
The 19-year-old, whose contract expires at the end of the season, was about to make a move Liverpool in January who have again been linked to the young winger.
Carvalho has scored ten goals in La Liga and played a key role as Marco Silva’s side secured promotion.
The prolific London club sealed the league title with a 7-0 win over Luton on Monday night with Carvalho on the goalscoring list.
“We’ll see what happens at the end of the season,” said Carvalho, who represented both Portugal and England at age group level. told BBC Radio London when asked if he would miss the Fulham squad.
“I won’t say I’ll miss her because we don’t know what’s going to happen.
“The club will be where it belongs, which is in the Premier League and we’ll see what happens.
“I’m just so proud of everyone, from the coaches, the staff, the players, the kit guys.
“We’ll just see what happens next year.”
Jürgen Klopp confirmed this in February Liverpool remained keen to lure Carvalho to Anfield.
A reported fee of £8million has apparently been agreed but a deal has not been finalized as of the deadline.
“We’re still interested – it would be crazy if we weren’t,” said Klopp.
“It was late, the window closed, it didn’t work. Lets see what happens.”
Club owner Tony Khan admitted on Tuesday the athlete that his side have indeed struck a deal to allow Fulham “to do good business” to fill the looming void left by Carvalho’s departure.
“I like Fabio very much. He’s a player that we’ve always rated coming out of the academy and we would have liked to have kept him. But we made a deal that’s best for the club and since that deal it’s worked out beautifully because he’s been such a valuable part of promotion,” he said.
