French icon Desailly slams Paul Pogba and says Man Utd star ‘cheats a bit and doesn’t help defensively’
MARCEL DESAILLY has branded Paul Pogba a little ‘cheater’ who doesn’t help out enough defensively.
The France and Chelsea legend discussed the reasons behind Pogba being dropped Manchester United were kicked out of the Champions League by Atletico Madrid.

Ralf Rangnick chose Fred and Scott McTominay as his midfield duo, bringing in Pogba late on.
And Desailly believes that’s because Pogba doesn’t offer the same defensive work rate as Fred or McTominay.

“If you allow him to be a playmaker behind Ronaldo, he will take advantage of that.
“When things are going well he’s fantastic, but when things aren’t going well he didn’t deliver what everyone expected offensively and at the same time he’ll cheat a bit.
“He won’t fall behind and will help midfield with the defensive intensity the team is looking for.”
