Freezing rain, freezing could be dangerous for some areas – NBC10 Philadelphia

Freezing rain and cold temperatures could cause frost and travel hazards for some neighborhoods in the greater Philadelphia area from Friday morning through evening.
The National Weather Service has issued 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. winter weather alerts for Berks, Lehigh, Northampton, east Chester, and east Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania, as well as for Hunterdon County in New Jersey.
Rain is expected to turn into freezing rain late Friday morning before turning into areas of freezing in the afternoon. Although freezing rain will end, a rapid drop in temperatures to freezing and below freezing can quickly cause untreated surfaces to freeze.
The NWS warns that although it is only a bright glaze, it can cause slippery pavement, roads and especially bridges and overpasses.
