Since the Capitol uprising on 6 months 1, in 2021, Donald TrumpThe biggest supporters blew a lot of wind about how the events of that day were not the fault of the then president and that the MAGA coup at the Capitol wasn’t nearly as bad as other methods. the mainstream media have launched. it is in. Now, washington articles report that some of Trump’s biggest cheerleaders were frantically texting the then chief of staff Mark Meadows and practically begged that he find a way to get his boss to stop.
On the second night, Liz Cheney—The new chairman of the House Select Committee on January 6 and one of the few Republicans to regularly call Trump and his friends out on bullsh*t — read aloud from a series Increasingly desperate documents were delivered to Meadows amid the attack on the Capitol, urging him to convince the then-president to step in and do something about it. Among those who sent those messages were some of Trump’s most loyalists Fox News server, including Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and Brian Kilmeade.
“According to records, many Fox News hosts knew the president needed to act immediately,” Cheney said during the House select committee evening hearing, which unanimously voted to scorn Meadows after he polishes them and subpoenas them… but only after providing them with thousands of suction guns in the form of documents and communications related to the Capitol riots, including even texts that could end up getting him in jail.

Ingraham, who seems to believe Trump has a legacy to protect, texted Meadows saying, “The President needs to tell everyone at the Capitol to go home. This is hurting us all. He is destroying his legacy.”
Kilmeade’s message was much shorter and to the point: “Please, put him on TV. Destroy everything that you have completed. ”
Hannity also tried to ask Meadows, “Can he make a statement? Ask everyone to leave the Capitol.”
Also Donald Trump Jr., who has never been accused of being the sharpest knife in a drawer, can see that what is happening is not good for the country or for his father. But he also texted Meadows, insisting that “He must condemn this case ASAP. The Capitol Police tweet is not enough.”
In the nearly a year since that deadly day, many of those same Fox News personalities have largely viewed the Capitol uprising as an event not an event—so much so that in July, Hannity Fox News career, Geraldo Rivera is even outspoken accuse him of “igniting” America.
As washington articles note, “The hearing was not conducted on Fox News on Monday night. Representatives for the network have yet to respond to a request for comment on the texts. “
