Fox Host shut down Race-Baiting Hawk Newsome for 7 days since BLM Activist issued Race card

Black Lives Matter activist Hawk Newsome has been in the news lately after vowing “bloodshed” if New York City Mayor Eric Adams rebuilds a plainclothes police unit as planned.

This didn’t go as well as Newsome seemed to have planned – as well as indeed, appeared on Fox News in which he accused host Martha MacCallum of “white privilege”.

In Friday’s interview, which ended up going viral, MacCallum told Newsome, “Come on, don’t throw that at me” following remarks about white privilege and blasting activists in New York area for not responding to fear from “people of all backgrounds, faiths, colors.”

Of course, Newsome has become iconic for Black Lives Matter’s less salty after he threatened Adams to cause chaos on the streets of Gotham if Adams reintroduced plainclothes officer units to deal with rising crime rates. (This is an aspect of the BLM movement that the mainstream media seems completely unwilling to cover. At The Western Journal, we don’t shy away from covering it. “If he thinks they’re going to go back to the old policing practices, then we’ll be on the streets again,” Newsome said after the November meeting with Adams. (Adams is also black, that’s worth pointing out.)

“There will be riots. There will be fire, and there will be bloodshed because we believe in protecting our people.”

This made the Black Lives Matter of Greater New York co-founder a controversial figure in both local and national media, particularly after Adams reiterated his plan to restore plainclothes units. .

“This is what I will do. That’s my promise and I’ll keep it,” Adams said in November after Newsome issued a threat to bring back crime-fighting units, according to New York Post.

The unit, which was particularly unpopular with progressives, was disbanded by outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio in the summer of 2020 wake up, but what was more unpopular with the people was the City. New York. increase in crime rate; the election of Adams, a candidate by law and moderate order, was an abdication of the far left of the Democratic Party in the nation’s largest capital.

Do conservatives need to adopt MacCallum’s non-advocacy stance?

Adams, the former captain of the New York Police Department who narrowly won the city’s crowded Democratic primary in July after prolonged vote counting, was unimpressed by Newsome’s threat:

“We will not surrender to those who are saying we will burn New York. Not my city,” Adams said at an event on Thursday, according to New York Post.

During an appearance on Fox News the next day, Newsome told MacCallum that Adams was “in a political circus — and my parents didn’t raise a clown.”

“Look what happened after we engaged in this back and forth. He was on [Stephen] Colbert, he’s on Anderson Cooper, he’s on Bill Maher. I made him famous, yes, for this wits we had. And if the mayor really cares about what’s best for the city, he’ll talk about the things we agreed to in that meeting. But don’t want to discuss that, Martha. He just wanted the hype and the attention,” he told MacCallum.

Beyond Newsome’s dubious analysis of Adams’ motives, however, there is the question of whether plainclothes units were necessary. MacCallum brought the city crime problem; Newsome responded by saying that “people are starving” and that they “need jobs and opportunities.”

At least MacCallum agrees with that.

“Absolutely, do what you can to keep the kids safe and let the officers out and keep those kids safe. Because they are dying at the hands of the gangs,” MacCallum said.

The two talked for a bit, with Newsome playing the race card:

MacCallum, he said, doesn’t “know what it’s like, you don’t know what it’s like to be dragged over and thrown on the wall,” she gave him. Then he said, “You live from a privileged place of white people, where you don’t -“

“Come on, don’t throw it at me!” MacCallum said.

“You know what? I want this whole city, people of all backgrounds, creeds, skin colors to be safer,” she said. “And what I see on the street is that’s not what going on since this unit was disbanded.”

The great irony here, of course, is the fact that people who come “from a place of white privilege” are often in Newsome’s corner. In New York City, well-off whites have jobs that allow them to work and live in neighborhoods where crime is not an issue.

If crime is involved with them, they are mobile enough to get away from the city, leaving any problems caused by the progressives they elected behind. But they will still put a Black Lives Matter frame around their Facebook profile picture whenever there is some kind of sociopolitical disturbance, so you know how much they have care and that they sided with Mr. Newsome and his colleagues.

In the meantime, there’s a lesson for conservatives here. Whenever left-wing activists bring issues like basic public safety back to the place of ethnic discord, there are seven words for you: “Come on, don’t throw that at me!”

Yes, you can come up with your own recipe, but MacCallum’s works perfectly well for a short time. Leaving the world’s Hawk Newsomes to find a more appreciative audience for their scam
