Christmas is coming – along with all its costs.
So, if you need some quick cash, here’s my tip for adding hundreds of extras to your budget.
CONVERT RICH: Save loads of junk by switching banks. HSBC offers £150 to transfer into its Prepaid Account through the MoneySupermarket website (ends December 16), while Halifax offers you £125 to transfer into a Rewards or Rewards checking account Finally (ends on December 14). First Direct offers £100, Nationwide up to £125 and Virgin Money £150 in Virgin Experience vouchers for M Plus and Club M customers. Sign up on their websites and follow T&C.
GRAB A MATE: Thinking about moving gadgets? Find a mate who’s already with that provider, and you’ll both get a bonus. So if you’re going to switch to BT, grab your buddy’s referral code – it’ll be in their account – and you’ll both get a £50 Amazon voucher. Virgin Media offers £50 cash back to converters and referrers.
CASH FOR QUESTIONS: Swagbucks is a site where you earn points for answering questions, watching videos and playing online games. Raise 700 points and you get a £5 Amazon voucher. New people who sign up through the Money Saver Expert can get £20 off the Amazon eGift card if they earn 1,300 points (worth £10) in within 30 days. PopulusLive is a good survey site that pays £1 for every five minutes spent on it.
MYSTERIOUS SHOPPING: Get paid to check out a store by buying something and writing a review about it. To find a job, register on Marketforce, Red Wigwam, Grass Roots, Ipsos or Tern. Mystery shoppers get up to £20 to spend at each store, but the payouts can be a lot higher depending on the job.

SOME parents who ordered children’s gifts from Amazon received their items delivered with no outer packaging, giving their kids an early look. To avoid this, select “Deliver in Amazon Packaging” at checkout so it comes in a plain box. Or send it to work or friends.
