FOUR people have died in a terrible house fire and two others have been hospitalized.
The house fire broke out around 7 p.m. Friday in the northern Springboro neighborhood of Crawford County.
According to reports, three children died, two boys aged 10 and 14 and a girl aged six months, and an adult woman aged 65 Scary news now.
Springboro Fire Chief Keith Shauberger said two people were taken to the hospital with injuries.
A 45-year-old woman was transported to a burns unit in Pittsburgh in critical condition.
A 63-year-old man is in stable condition at Meadville Medical Center, state police said.
Several dogs and cats also died in the fire, although there’s no exact number on how many.
Firefighters returned to the home Saturday morning to extinguish hot spots and ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but Shauberger says the preliminary investigation indicates it may have started near the first-floor laundry room in the middle of the house, according to sources Go Erie.
The house was divided into two apartments. The children were found on the second floor at the south end of the house, and the woman was found near the northwest corner of the house on the first floor.
Ten family members lived in the two apartments, a family member said. Besides him, he says six of the relatives were at home at the time of the fire.
