Former Jets WR Demaryius Thomas dies aged 33

A dear and generous man, passed away too soon.

Former NFL star Demaryius Thomas passed away this week. He is 33 years old.

Based on Paul Newberry of the Associated Press, Thomas’s cousin, LaTonya Bonseigneur, claimed the family thought a seizure ultimately led to his death. Police officers apparently found Thomas at home while he was showering.

Thomas is a four-time professional athlete, a second two-time All-Pro team champion, and a Super Bowl champion during his NFL tenure, which ran from 2010-19. Each of the aforementioned achievements came during his successful time with the Broncos (2010-18).

Then he spent time with the Texans, the Patriots, and Jet plane before officially retiring from the NFL in June.

Thomas’ last games in the NFL were with New York – he caught 36 balls with a single touch during his 11-game stint with the Jets in 2019.
