Forecast: Prepare for a chill night

Sunshine has made its way back to Southwest Florida for the afternoon and will lead to some pleasant weather for those evening dinner plans. However, don’t let the sunshine fool you, we are on our way to quite a chilly night.

Clear skies overnight will allow those temperatures to drop fairly quickly and we will wake up to temperatures Thursday morning well below average. Low temperatures will be around 46°F for the morning commute so grab a jacket before you walk out the door. By the afternoon, clear skies will stick around and the sunshine should warm the area up to the mid 70’s, so that morning jacket can be put away for the evening commute.

The clear and sunny skies will stick around to end the week and begin the weekend as high pressure builds in. It could get quite warm by the start of the weekend. Highs on Saturday will be in the lower 80’s.

The next front moves in for those Sunday plans, scattered showers look to make their way in through the morning and into the afternoon on Sunday. The weather does not look to cooperate for those outdoor plans for Super Bowl Sunday.
