Florida’s total number of new COVID cases falls to 18-month low

The liberal mainstream media may want to continue Florida Governor Ron DeSantis NS trumpet treatment on COVID.

But that can be more difficult to do because the virus is already hidden deep in the background.

Florida Politics note on Friday that the state’s total of new infections for November was the lowest monthly total in 18 months.

“The latest federal data shows that Florida reported 42,879 confirmed cases in November, its lowest monthly load since May 2020, before the first spike in summer 2020 hit. Florida,” the website reports, citing data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The state also reported 2,042 COVID-related deaths in November. That was the lowest monthly total over the past few months, since the summer spike from Delta.

That number is down more than 50% from October and a sharp drop of about 80% from September’s total.

Florida Politics recorded that Sunshine State topped 100,000 new cases in June 2020. The state’s total did not fall below 50,000 in a month through November 2021.

By comparison, Florida recorded nearly 679,000 cases in August.

Like a free press Report in November and much of the world, including the US president, trembles at a new strain of COVID-19, which up to this point, makes its “victims” more or less the equivalent of a cold head, Florida continues to sink in light of the lowest actual rate of new COVID infections.

The impact of the new Omicron variant is yet to be felt in the state of Florida.

Health authorities in South Africa, where the variant was first reported, said it was likely that Omicron could be more transmissible than other strains, but that the patient was showing much milder symptoms.
