Firefighters Battle of Fire engulfs 1,500 bales of hay in Beaumont

Firefighters are working to extinguish the blaze that consumed 1,500 bales of hay in Beaumont today.

The Riverside County Fire Department received a report of a commercial building fire at 7:49 a.m. in the area of ​​Vineland Road and Beaumont Avenue.

Crews arrived on the scene and discovered a 20-foot pile of hay that was entirely related to the fire.

Beaumont Avenue between Cherry Valley Avenue and Orchard Street and Vineland Street between Ralph Street and Avenida Miravilla were closed while firefighters worked to contain the blaze. Officials expect the closure to last until around 1:30 p.m

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
