Father John Misty orders new album ‘Chloe and the next 20th century’ – Billboard

Father John Misty brings good news: a new studio album, his first in 4 years.
American singer and songwriter to release fifth studio effort, Chloë and the subsequent 20th century, on April 8, past Sub Pop international and Bella Union in Europe.
Produced with longtime collaborator Jonathan Wilson, Chloë will be available in all the formats fans know and love, along with a limited edition “deluxe” edition in a hardcover book, complete with bundled 7 singles, including By Lana Del Rey cover of the album track “Buddy’s Rendezvous,”
Chloë led by the new song “Funny Girl”, accompanied by an official music video directed by Nicholas Ashe Bateman.
The upcoming album is the sequel of 2018 God’s Favorite Customers, peaked at number 18 on the Billboard 200 and topped several genre charts.
Despite the distance in the set, Misty (real name Joshua Tillman) was never idle. In 2020, the Maryland native team advertised for coronavirus relief efforts by releasing a surprise live album, Off-Key From Hamburg, proceeds from it benefit the MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund. Cut with his band and the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt Orchestra, Off-Key from Hamburg was his first live album release.
Some face-to-face dating be confirm in the coming months, including the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles (February 25) and the Barbican Theater in London (April 7).
