Fatal home invasion: Man was shot dead at his northwest Houston home while 4 intruders were calling 911

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — Four suspects forced a homeowner who police said was outside of his northwest Houston home Monday night into his apartment. Once inside, they shot another resident, according to authorities.

Police received a call at around 6.30pm at the victim’s home on Thornwall Street.

One of the homeowners was outside the home working on a truck. Police said the four men forced him inside.

“They forced him in where another resident was. They shot the second resident and fled to the front door,” said HPD Det. Lance Osborne.

During the robbery, the suspects got into an argument with the second resident, who called 911, according to police.

The victim died in hospital, according to police.

Authorities are asking the public to keep an eye out for the suspect’s vehicle, which is believed to be a recent gray Prius with pink upholstery.
