Lizzo shared a video of Rosie O’Donnell admitting she misread the lyrics to her song ‘About Damn Time’ – and many fans have admitted they made the same mistake.
Actress and former talk show host O’Donnell posted a video on TikTok and Instagram explaining that she mistook Lizzo’s line “Tryna bring out the fab” for “Tryna bring out the fat b**** lust.” had.
“I heard that,” she told her followers. “I sang that while trying to figure out the dance… It’s not ‘fat b**** lust’ folks, it’s ‘fabulous’.”
She added: “What’s wrong with me?”
Lizzo shared the video on her Instagram and wrote, “Now @rosie… #fatb****lust.”
Fans loved it. “I’m here for #fatb****lust tbh lol,” one person commented.
“Lizzo is changing the lyrics now,” added another.
A third wrote: “Honestly I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that lol.”
Many others admitted they made the same mistake, and others said they liked O’Donnell’s interpretation “a lot better” and that it could “ignite a whole movement.”
“About Damn Time” is the first single from Lizzo’s new album Specialwill be released on July 15th.
The track is currently in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became the soundtrack to a viral TikTok dance.
