Family of six displaced after Sunday’s house fire; Red Cross Offers Support | WJMN

Ironwood, Mich. (WJMN) – American Red Cross volunteers took action early Sunday morning after a family of six, including three young children, caught fire at a home on Arch Street in Ironwood .

The Red Cross is providing temporary accommodation and other immediate needs such as meals.

As of November 1, American Red Cross volunteers have helped 290 people displaced by 66 fires in western UP and throughout Wisconsin. This number of people and fires follow with a typical increase in fires that occur during cold weather as well as a busier holiday season, according to the Red Cross.
