Today is Christmas for the prankster community.
Creativity is omnipresent in this April Fool’s Day joke, as pranksters, both pros and amateurs, wasted no time in sharing their yearly antics — including some that quickly backfired and others that banged on politics — which certainly both Bringing joy as well as pain in one will tradition as old as time.
Some have tampered with savory desserts for an awkwardly awkward surprise, while others have brought the more classic saran wrap-and-tape gags back into fashion this spring.
Of course, others have also found clever ways to trick their colleagues while working remotely.
These are some of the best, boldest, and most confusing April Fools’ jokes of 2022 so far.
You are not the father
A friend’s fake maternity outfit went south big time.
A Brazilian model named Sabrina Low quickly spoiled a fancy dinner with her boo of six months after she pulled out her phone between courses and showed him a positive pregnancy test photo, Jam Press reported.
“Congratulations, Daddy,” Low said.
But the reaction she reportedly got from the unnamed man was neither sweet nor shocking. He immediately offered her $50,000 to abort the phantom child, according to the outlet.
“When I showed him the picture of me on my phone with a pregnancy test, he just didn’t respond,” Low said. “He didn’t even ask for details — he just wanted it gone and offered me the $50,000.”
What happened next is no joke: Low dumped his butt and the two “don’t talk to each other anymore,” she admitted.
“I was just so sad, that was his reaction,” she added. “I broke up immediately.”
Hunter Biden is selling shirtless NFTs on the beach
Is it even April Fool’s Day without any satirical news?
Hyperallergic together a knee-slapping article about Hunter Biden going to Venice Beach, California, and selling NFTs “to raise money for a new laptop.”
“Across the blanket were several SpongeBob SquarePants memes that were printed on paper at a local FedEx Kinko’s earlier in the day,” reads the article about the president’s son.
“When asked to define what an NFT is, Biden crunched his veneers for a few minutes before emphasizing his record of honest business dealings and clarifying it real NFTs were ‘in the cloud’ while vaguely pointing to the clouds overhead.”
Brussels sprouts pop
In legal jargon these would fall under the category of cruel and unusual punishment.
An artisan baker from Tampa, Fla., (@DippedTampa) shared a do-it-yourself recipe how to get someone to eat a cake pop that’s actually made out of crunchy Brussels sprouts.
After sticking the mini cabbage on a plastic stick, simply dip it in frosting, then push it through a mini ice cream cone (sprinkles preferred), do a bit more razzle-dazzle all the way to the top, then watch the woe that you brought upon an innocent man.
cooking oil for soap
There is a beauty that comes with simplicity. Reddit user Orobas55 posted a photo a Palmolive soap bottle, which he replaced with cooking oil earlier this morning.
“I’ll leave it in a friend’s bathroom.”
Who says parents can’t jump into some April Fool’s Day fun? Redditor MadMac619 went to old school this year his children’s bedroom door closed by Saran Wrapped. I don’t blame them if they were late for school on Friday.
No snack for you!
It seems that parents are game for a prank war this time. User aJuicyNut posted a picture tape every tasty snack in their kid’s lunchables box so it sticks to their hands – all before they put it back in the box as if nothing happened.
The sticky swipe ensures that someone is late for the break.
slacking off at work
Fancy an early Friday? This gimmick by Reddit user LittleLittleG will hide you in plain sight as you work. They fluidly changed their Slack name and image to reflect the instant messaging service’s “Slack Bot” feature. In addition, LittleLittleG has even set itself to be “away” to avoid notifications.
“I can’t wait to trick everyone!” they wrote.
The devil is where we least think to look
Some people just want to watch the world burn. An unhappy workplace today is subjected to donuts injected with either Sriracha hot sauce or mayonnaise – instead of jelly or cream filling – by Redditor thebesterrr-mA.
“My colleagues will not expect anything at all! I’ve been planning this for months,” the perpetrator wrote of her sneaky — and probably not-so-delicious — act.
