Exclusive surveillance footage shows teenagers hiding and retaliating after a deadly shooting at a birthday party on Sunday morning

A 17-year-old boy was shot dead in the 2900 block of South Sam Houston Parkway off Highway 288 Saturday night and three other teenagers were injured, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.

Two 17-year-old boys were taken to hospital, one is in critical condition and the other was discharged with minor injuries.

The released teenager was taken into custody on an unrelated aggravated robbery warrant.

The youngest victim, a 14-year-old girl, was taken to hospital but has since been released. Officials say all victims attended the birthday party at Dreamlite Productions Studio.

Surveillance footage of a nearby store shows at least 100 people in the parking lot near the party. At around 11:45 p.m., dozens of people are seen running while shots are fired, which police believe came from inside cars.

Witnesses told police they suspect a white SUV was involved in the shooting. In the surveillance footage, a vehicle matching the description stops. Shortly thereafter, a group of people nearby start running. Several people run to a car and take revenge, they see them shooting their guns.

A group hides behind the car while shots are fired from different directions until the car drives off and they run to safety.

A person, obviously injured, is lying on the ground as a group tries to help her, but soon after the group is seen running away as cars speed by.
