Evil Geniuses released Legends of Runeterra pro Sean “Swim” Huguenard on April 14 after completing an investigation into allegations of sexual and emotional abuse against the player.
The company fired swim days after another LoR player and streamer named “Amwe” released one 43 page account about her experiences with him. More shortly after women shared Their stories as allegations circulated online.
After an internal review of the situation, EG announced it would drop the player-streamer after representing the club for over three years.
“Evil Geniuses is aware of the allegations being made against swimming that go against our brand standards around behavior and values,” the organization said. “We take these allegations extremely seriously as we hold all members of Evil Geniuses to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.”

Days before his release, Swim appeared on a brief Twitch stream and expressed his feelings about an undisclosed situation.
He later deleted the VOD and released an apology on April 10, likely addressing the allegations that later became public.
“I’m not perfect and I know I haven’t always been best friends with the people around me.” he said. “I wasn’t as good a friend as I would have liked, but I never did anything abusive in any of my relationships.
“I’m so sorry to everyone involved for not being able to be a better friend… I don’t plan to speak about it again unless I have to, but I really had to be completely transparent and.” don’t just pretend nothing is wrong as it is.”
Following news of swim’s sacking, Amwe called the decision “the closest to justice I’ve ever experienced” as she came forward with her account.
“This feeling comes as close to justice as I’ve ever felt” she said. “My body is shaking right now. Thanks.”
Swim has yet to comment on the decision and will no longer represent EG in any capacity.
