CoD Mobile Season 5 is next for the popular handheld title and while it’s still early days, we have an early look at everything to expect from the next major update.
As we are now in the fifth month of the year, this can only mean one thing. CoD Mobile’s fifth seasonal update is upon us.
Keeping the momentum going with brand new content in the form of maps, weapons, modes and plenty of cosmetics, Season 5 is sure to be another exciting phase for CoD Mobile.
So, before we get started, it’s a good idea to refresh everything we know about CoD Mobile Season 5 so far.
While an exact CoD Mobile Season 5 release date has not yet been confirmed, we can make an educated guess based on past trends along with the current Battle Pass end date.
The CoD Mobile Season 4 Battle Pass expires on Thursday June 2nd. As always, new seasons begin immediately after, making this a safe bet for Season 5’s start date.
However, it is worth remembering that unexpected delays can halt these plans at any time. So we’ll be keeping you updated here as an official CoD Mobile Season 5 release date is set.
While new additions to CoD Mobile’s arsenal have yet to be announced, the latest test server may have given us an early glimpse of what’s to come.
After launching on May 10th, the new test build came with three brand new weapons that are not yet available in CoD Mobile. That Oden assault rifle, KSP45 SMG and LCAR9 pistol all function in the limited test period.

As always, there is no guarantee that every single weapon will make its way into the live build of CoD Mobile. In addition, it is never certain that content will arrive on the test server in the next seasonal patch.
But with that said, it’s safe to assume that at least one of these weapons will be featured in CoD Mobile Season 5. If we had to hedge our bets, the Oden Assault Rifle seems like the most likely candidate.
With more Modern Warfare 2019 weapons in CoD Mobile than almost any other title, the Oden would certainly help round out the list.
According to reports, it will appear in Season 5 Jackal fighter jetafter a Series of prominent CoD Mobile leakers. However, how exactly this vehicle could function remains unclear.
We could see Infinite Warfare’s futuristic jet serving as a killstreak in CoD Mobile Season 5. Or he could even be part of an as yet undisclosed game mode that’s on the way in a nearby update.
Keep an eye out for various teasers on social media in the coming days as we learn more about this new feature.
A major perk change appears to be all but complete in the latest CoD Mobile test build Persistence has been adjusted.

Instead of doubling the scorestreak cost, streaks now appear to be divided into three tiers. Players who take advantage can select three streaks in low, mid, and high ranks, each with a set cost.
Again, there is no guarantee that this change will make it to the live server. However, with this particular change complete, it would be a surprise not to see it as part of the CoD Mobile Season 5 patch notes.
Also included in CoD Mobile’s latest test build is a new piece of tactical gear, the echo grenade. This new tool can be used to “detect enemy positions,” as the official description states.
Essentially, enemy players who have been marked by the grenade will be highlighted for a short time. No matter where they are or how many walls might stand between them, thanks to this grenade you will be able to spot them for a brief moment.
With the update still a few weeks away, be sure to check back often as we’ll keep you up to date with the latest CoD Mobile Season 5 news here.
