“Everything, everywhere at once” Daniel Radcliffe almost starred

since i left Harry Potter Behind it, Daniel Radcliffe made some radical decisions. The actor rose to fame as The Boy Who Lived in the film adaptations he directed from 2001 to 2011. But Radcliffe has earned a reputation in recent years for playing offbeat and downright weird characters. Still, it might surprise some of his fans that the actor almost landed a role in the critically acclaimed 2022 release Everything everywhere at once.
‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ is by the team of ‘Swiss Army Man’
The new film is directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, aka “Daniels”. It follows a Laundromat Owner (Michelle Yeoh), who faces a threat to the multiverse. The film’s blend of family drama, off-the-wall comedy, martial arts action and high-concept sci-fi has won critics across the board.
Everything everywhere at once is not Daniel’s first attempt at directing. That would be 2016 Swiss army man, which has often been credited as the movie where Radcliffe plays a farting corpse. Although this description is not far-fetched, the film has a lot more to offer. In fact, Radcliffe had so much fun working on it Swiss army man he was ready for more Daniels.

Daniel Radcliffe almost landed a role in the Multiverse movie
Radcliffe has been open about how Swiss army man is among the best experiences he’s had shooting a movie, even comparing a scene in it Strange: The Al Yankovic Story to. That’s why he really wanted to take on a role Everything everywhere at once. But like I said Richhe couldn’t get it to work due to a scheduling conflict.
“I’m so excited. It’s the best. At one point they tried to get me to do it and I did a play. So I couldn’t be there, which I’m still disappointed about. They’re probably the only people in the world who I would say yes to doing one of their films without even seeing the script If they want me in something I know there will be a reason and if they do something it’s because they do something amazing found. So yeah, I would really follow these guys to the ends of the earth.”
Radcliffe’s enthusiasm — and the fact that Daniels has offered him a role — makes it sound inevitable that the directing duo will eventually find a way to work with the actor again. At the moment, there’s no indication what Daniels will take on next. But when the right part presents itself, it sounds like Radcliffe will sign without a moment’s hesitation.
Who would Daniel Radcliffe play in All At Once?
The fans have seen that now Everything everywhere at once, the real question is who Radcliffe would have played. The age and gender of most characters seemingly eliminates most roles. Given his star power, Radcliffe certainly would have played more than a minor role in the film. But one obvious answer stands out.
Most likely, Radcliffe would have played the role of Chad, which ultimately went to him joy Graduate Harry Shum Jr. Without delving into spoilers, the character’s story line fits well with what Radcliffe did Swiss army man, which even serves as a sort of comical inversion. Hopefully Daniels can confirm if that was the role Radcliffe was meant to play.
