As she noted on Instagram, that very individual is the host, Drew Barrymore. On Instagram, Erin noted that she not only got to meet Barrymore, but was able to thank her for being an “inspiration” for her growth.

Erin and her husband, Ben Napier, participated in the taping of Barrymore’s talk show (she noted that their segment will air on Wednesday’s episode). On Instagram, she has posted many photos of their appearance and is all smiling while chatting with the actor and TV presenter. Erin captioned the post by reflecting on the encounter and sharing exactly why it was so special to her. According to HGTV’s personality, she actually has Barrymore to thank for her “love story”.

“Today, I met my childhood hero in person and hugged her neck and thanked her for the inspiration for this short hairstyle that brought @scotsman.co to my attention on campus. our university and asked about me on this day, 17 years ago,” she wrote. “So thank you @Regibarrymore for our love story. WHAT ONE DAY. Watch @thedrewbarrymoreshow tomorrow!” Erin and Ben shared the story of their first meeting in the past. Interestingly, based on their accounts of their first meeting, it seems the pair have appeared on the internet. The Drew Barrymore Show 17 years since the day they started crossing the road.

Back in December 2020, Erin took to Instagram to reflect on a very special anniversary. The couple met on December 7, 2004 while working on their school yearbook project. They went on their first official date the day after they met. On their first date, Erin even introduced Ben to her mother, a major sign that the two were in a real relationship from the start. In her caption, she also expressed that the couple felt as if they were going to get married just days after meeting. She went on to include a quote from their book, Do something nice today, which reads, “Ben is famous, but not exclusive, and I think that’s why I loved him before I knew him. Even from afar I can feel the joy and his generosity.” Erin went on to write, “I still am, and feel so lucky to work alongside him every day.”
