NEW Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has asked not to be distracted as club Ajax are embroiled in a title clash with rivals Feyenoord.
Corresponding ESPNTen Hag made the request during negotiations before agreeing to a three-year deal to take charge at the end of the season.
Defending champions Ajax are four points clear of Feyenoord at the top of the Eredivise with four games to go.
Winning the league title is Ten Hag’s last chance to win silverware after Ajax crashed out of the Champions League against Benfica and Benfica losing the KNVB Cup final to PSV.
The report also states that current members of the United team are already doing their research on Ten Hag.
Players are said to be turning to former Man Utd ace Daley Blind, who currently plays under Ten Hag.
Blind has shared information about his compatriot from the Netherlands, including his strict rules on players and his tactical preferences.
Ten Hag’s willingness to put the team ahead of individuals was also stressed, and his decision to drop top scorer Sebastien Haller for Brian Brobbey ahead of the cup final was highlighted.
If Ten Hag lands at Old Trafford, United are expected to be heavily involved in the transfer market.

Reportedly, Paulo Dybala is a target for Ten Hag and he can be picked up for FREE this summer when his contract with Juventus expires.
Current interim manager Ralf Rangnick is to be significantly involved in the recruitment process as soon as he moves to an advisory role.
Rangnick has agreed to work six days a month while managing the Austria national team.
