FORMER footballer Taribo West looks completely unrecognizable as he is currently working as RICH in Nigeria.
The 47-year-old became a cult hero in his career thanks to his dyed locks and flamboyant style of play.
West spent a season on loan at Derby in 2000, appeared 18 times.
He returned to these shores five years later, playing four times for Plymouth as his career ended.
Now, 15 years since he retired from Beautiful Game, West has become a man of god, working as a pastor in Lagos.
Talking to Cable, West revealed God appeared to him ‘one on one’.
He said: “Why did I go from being a footballer to being a pastor? I have seen God one on one. That’s where my transition begins; From the field to the pulpit.
“We celebrated. In the meantime, a woman happened to meet me and said: ‘Sir, can I have your name, please?’ I said: ‘I am Mr No name’. She said: ‘May I know where you live?’ I said: ‘I don’t live anywhere.’ She left angrily.
“In my twinkling eyes, I just heard a pleasant voice. And it came like a slap. It says: ‘Turn, turn.’ I comeback.
“It said: ‘Look at this woman. Find her now and call that woman and apologize to her. I told you that.” It could only be a voice from God.
“So I converted, like a Robocop, I started looking for this woman, and when this sister came from America, she told me a lot of prophecies.
“And she told me in a year or two I’m going to open a church. All the prophecies she gave me have been fulfilled.”
West made 42 appearances for Nigeria between 1994 and 2005, winning a gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
