Enes Kanter changed her last name to ‘Freedom’, passed the US citizenship test
Enes Kanter of the Boston Celtics, a vocal critic of the Chinese Communist Party and other NBA figures, has announced plans to change his surname to “Freedom”.

- Center, who will go by the full name Enes Kanter Freedom, shared that his new surname is “derived from what his teammates called him.”
Boston Celtics Center Enes Kanter is legally changing its name to Enes Kanter Freedom, @TheAthletic @Stadium have learned. Kanter will be his middle name, Freedom will be his new surname. He became a US citizen on Monday.

- The official name change will come after Kanter is sworn in for US citizenship on Monday, his team’s manager, Hank Fetic, told Related press.
- Kanter is said to have passed the citizenship test early last week.
