EMMERDALE fans are worried for Marlon Dingle as Rhona Goskirk plans a huge surprise for him.

The chef – who is played by actor Mark Charnock in the ITV soap – is about to suffer a massive stroke and the news has viewers nervous.

On tonight’s episode, Marlon was under stress because Rhona was planning a surprise birthday party and proposal for him.

He begged Paddy to tell him everything and seemed bursting with stress.

And it left fans terrified of him.

One wrote: “Marlon,” with lots of crying face emojis.

A second said: “Not ready for Marlon’s stroke next week” and a heartbroken emoji.

Another added: “Monday’s episode is going to be so emotional. Marlon proposes on his birthday and then has his stroke.”

Next week, Marlon will collapse and suffer a devastating stroke.

The chef – who is played by actor Mark Charnock in the ITV soap – is set to collapse next week in the storyline, which the soap has worked closely with the Stroke Association on.

Mark Charnock stated, “Working with the research team at Emmerdale and the Stroke Association on this story was eye opening.

“We often hear the word stroke, but just being confronted with the sheer mass of numbers in this country alone was a shock.

“In the UK, there is a stroke every 5 minutes. Over 100,000 per year.

“More can and should be done to raise awareness and hopefully this story can help with that. It is a tremendous responsibility to try to make things right for the survivors and their families, and for those who have lost loved ones to this horrific event.

“No two strokes are the same, but the aftermath is devastating.

“I’m very proud of the show for having narrated it and being a part of it.”
