Emma Raducanu’s tiny bank balance has been revealed before she made a £12million fortune from stunning US Open triumph

EMMA RADUCANU had just £44 in her company account before earning £12m after her remarkable US Open triumph last year.
That teenager incorporated Harbor 6 Limited in February 2020 and last week filed its first financial statements which included figures through February 2021.
And, as reported by The postshe had £55,682 in her account but owed the creditors £54,888.
From this sum a further £750 was deducted to cover the ‘provision for liabilities’.
As a result, she was left with just £44 for her name.
Since then, Raducanu has risen to superstardom after becoming the first ever qualifier to win a singles Grand Slam stunned the sporting world by winning the US Open trophy back in September.


She saw the British woman’s sensational victory in New York Collect £1.8 million in prize money.
And then she went on Secure sponsorship deals with the likes of Porsche, Evian and Dior.
She also has a contract with mobile phone company Vodafone and is a global ambassador for British Airways.
And although she has had a Nike deal for four years, it is said to have been renegotiated following her triumphant fortnight in America.

All of this has seen her net worth dwindle down to as little as £12million.
And after her fame in New York last year, her PR expert Mark Borkowski tapped into it become the first billion dollar female sports star.
He said: “I might see her as a billion dollar girl.
“She’s everything that’s really positive about the new icons this age needs to produce.
“In the conflicting culture battles, here we have someone who is young, incredibly talented, has a multicultural background, everything about her is what any brand wants to get their hands on right now.”
