Elise is set for a big picture update in League of Legends season 12

League of Legends resident Spider Queen Elise is getting a big VFX update as Riot Games looks to modernize her abilities in Season 12.

Riot has consistently provided visual updates to LoL’s more veteran champions, showing a love of characters like Vel’Koz and Vayne more recently.

Elise was introduced to Summoner’s Rift ten years ago, and since then, the jungler’s abilities have been almost completely preserved. With her being one of the older champions in the game, she’s a prime candidate for a VFX overhaul.

Now, Riot has confirmed that they are rejuvenating her kit.

Elise VFX Update Revealed

As one of LoL’s transformative characters, Elise has more than four standard spells for visual updates.

Her most iconic ability, The cocoon, will now display a more colorful web page in its targeted direction, making the hitbox visible. This ability had previously fired off a completely white web so it was difficult to track.

Tons of her other abilities are also getting a visual overhaul, including Rappel, Neurotoxinsand Volatile Spiderling.

Rappel now shows a more clearly defined outer circle for Elise to escape, and Neurotoxin now has a much sharper effect.

Elise’s auto attack animation is also getting an update, as her attacks are now more clearly defined in red and black.

Here are all of her skins being updated with images:

  • Basis
  • Dead flowers
  • Win
  • Blood Moon
  • SKT T1
  • Super Galaxy (minor tweak)

The overhaul will make it much easier to play with and against champions, so keep an eye out for Elise’s visual update to hit Summoner’s Rift on LoL 12.5. Elise is set for a big picture update in League of Legends season 12
