Dustin Poirier more heartbroken about title as Charles Oliveira strangles him to retain lightweight title

DUSTIN POIRIER suffered further title woes when lightweight king Charles Oliveira ruthlessly ended his hopes of being the undisputed champion.
Lafayette’s pride, Louisiana’s attempt to win the 155lb title at second claim ended in agony in UFC 269 main event in Las Vegas.
Favorite fan Poirier suffered a crushing defeat in the third round to Do Bronx, who extended his unbeaten streak to ten games.
Former interim lightweight king Poirier entered his third UFC title fight as it was his fate to leave T-Mobile Arena as an undisputed title holder.
During Friday’s ceremonial deliberation, he said UFC Commentator Joe Rogan: “Oh my god, this is the big one.
“I paid the fee. One more mountain to claim the beautiful view.
“Baby, fate is not wrong. Let’s go!”
But his undisputed UFC gold medal dream was ended by a resilient and determined Oliveira.
