Dunkin’ customers ‘reveal dark reasons some stores have door-to-door height charts

A TIKTOKER has revealed the shocking reason why some Dunkin’ stores have height charts on their doorstep.
A user named Jocelyn, who goes by the name @officialjuice93, posted a TikTok video while in a Dunkin’.
“Tell me your Dunkin has been robbed [sic] told me they were robbed… I’ll go first,” Jocelyn writes in the video.
The clip points towards the entrance of the store, where there is a height chart on the side of the door.
According to a 2012 report from Slate, The height markers are to help staff determine the height of criminals who may enter the store.
These days, stopping criminals from trying to rob a store is more of a deterrent.
The video is only five seconds long but has racked up more than 451,000 views as of Monday, shocking many to learn the reasoning behind the height chart.
One of the comments said: “I’m old today when I know that it’s not about how tall you are for fun.
“WAIT FOR SOMETHING?!?!” wrote another user.
However, other viewers were not shocked with one person writing: “A lot [sic] places (such as banks) have them so they can get object height descriptions for wanted posters/news…etc! ”
Another thought the height charts were universal, writing, “Where am I, they’re literally in every registered establishment.”
Another commentator from the Midwest said that height charts are very popular in fast food places. They wrote: “Always thought it was just standard practice.
Others took the opportunity to make jokes. “I’m bringing a man here on a first date.”
