Duggar insider claims family thinks he’s been ‘framed’

In April 2021, federal marshals were arrested josh duggar on two counts of child pornography. The arrest shocked even the most ardent critics of the Duggar family. A former member of the Duggar family’s island church inherited it Reddit on April 15 to discuss her experiences within the IBLP and in particular with the Duggar family. A user asked the insider if the family believed Josh was guilty during the AMA event. The former church member claims many members of the Duggar family, including Josh’s wife Anna Duggar, believe he was “set”. The family insider did not go into detail. A Reddit moderator verified her identity.
Shortly after his sentencing, reports appeared in several media outlets that Anna believed Josh had been framed. Since the conviction, Anna has spent hours on the phone with her husband. made josh dozens of calls in the first month of his incarceration. Many of these calls went to Anna. While some supporters of the Duggar family assumed there would be a divorce after the conviction, Anna appears to be standing by her husband.
His defense tried to argue that someone else used the computer
The family insider’s suggestion that the Duggar family believes Josh Duggar was framed aligns with his defense. The allegations are also consistent with Anna’s statements during her brief return to social media in February 2022.

During the 2021 trial, Josh’s attorneys attempted to argue that someone else placed the images on Josh’s computer. More specifically, they claimed someone could have remotely accessed the desktop and placed the images on the device.
The defense expert insisted that remote access was possible. The prosecutor’s expert was not convinced. The jury also found the defense’s theory unconvincing. A jury found Josh guilty on both counts.
In February 2021, nearly two months after the guilty verdict, Anna Duggar returned to social media, albeit briefly. Anna shared a link and suggested there is one “more about history” in her first post since the end of the trial. The link led followers to a motion filed by Josh’s defense team. She hasn’t posted since then.
Josh Duggar’s sentencing is set for May 25
Although Josh was found guilty on both counts in December 2021, he has yet to receive his sentence. Originally, Judge Timothy L. Brooks was ready to sentence Josh in early April. The defense team, however requested a postponement. The court granted the request.

Judge Brooks has now set the sentencing date for May 25. After the conviction, federal agents will transfer Josh Duggar out of the local detention center a federal correctional facility. Agents could transfer the former reality TV star to any federal facility in the United States. Josh faces up to 20 years in prison.
